New Marvel Game set to be Unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con

on July 3, 2012 8:30 AM

It is no surprise that Marvel Video Games will be again host a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con. The panel is scheduled for Saturday July 14th, 2012 from 1:45pm to 2:45pm. The titles set to be on hand will be Gazillion’s MMORPG, Marvel Heroes, as well as Ubisoft’s Avenger’s: Battle for Earth. Marvel has also teased that, “more future Marvel games,” will be shown at the panel.

The description did specifically state however, that a new title currently in the works by publisher Activision and developer High Moon Studios will be unveiled at the panel. High Moon Studios is known for developing games such as The Bourne Conspiracy, and Transformers: War for Cybertron, as well as its upcoming sequel, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Activision has published Marvel games such as the Spider-Man movie tie-ins, as well as other games based on the franchise, and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, along with its sequel.

Raven Software and Vicarious Visions developed the Ultimate Alliance games, and with the lukewarm reception of MUA2, it is not far-fetched to speculate that Activision is having a new developer in the form of High Moon Studios take over Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 3. One way or another, we will know by next Saturday.
