New Mortal Kombat 11 Gameplay Trailer Shows Off Rambo in Action

Mortal Kombat 11 developer has released a gameplay trailer for Rambo, the latest character. He joins Rain and Mileena as upcoming DLC characters.

Mortal Kombat 11 developer Netherealm Studios has released a first look at gameplay for Rambo, one of the upcoming DLC characters. You can watch the trailer below.

The trailer shows off the variety of moves Rambo can pull off. For up-close attacks, he can use knives alongside his fists and kicks. For long-range attacks, he has a bow and arrow and grenades to use. Additionally, he can set traps from a distance. We also got a look at his fatality move which is just as gory and awesome as you’d expect from Mortal Kombat. What makes Rambo’s inclusion even cooler is Sylvester Stallone even reprises his role as the character.

“For me, getting to work with a legendary actor as he plays one his most iconic roles was a thrilling experience,” said Dominic Cianciolo, Netherealm’s story and voiceover director on the PlayStation Blog. “As a Voiceover Director, it doesn’t get any better. My favorite memory of the session was the sound of Stallone chuckling. As he performed the lines, he noticed the many references we had included, not only from the Rambo films, but also from the rest of his body of work. When you play, listen closely to the banter for references to The Expendables, Cliffhanger, Demolition Man and more. It was a real kick to see that he was so entertained. Hopefully, Rambo fans will have as much fun with the experience as did the man himself.”

In addition to Rambo, Rain and Mileena will be added as new characters you can get with the Kombat Pack 2. There will also be an ultimate edition of Mortal Kombat 11 that includes everything released for the game so far, including the Aftermath expansion and Kombat packs. For those that already own the game, you can upgrade to the PS5 and Series X|S versions for free. Additionally, the game hit eight million copies sold since its release last year.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate Edition will release on November 17 for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
