If you want to get one more glimpse on Need for Speed, a screenshot was showcased at Siggraph 2015 during the “Physically-based & Unified Volumetric Rendering in Frostbite” talk by Sebastien Hillaire showing some really amazing lighting and water effects.
You can check it out above, while below you can see another treat. That’s how the team at Ghost games gets photo reference of a car in different lighting conditions (IE: it’s not a screenshot, it’s real life, even if lately it’s becoming hard to tell). If you check out close to the wheel, you can notice the reference color palette.
One thing is for sure. Need for Speed looks quite amazing thanks to the Frostbite engine. Personally, I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
