The “Doton mori yosei manzai gekijo“ (Fairy manzai theater of  The Doton forest) is quickly becoming a staple of the upcoming JRPG Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, promising to gift us with moments of comic relief that will definitely please many, especially those like me that appreciated the skits with Ricky Gervais and Katt Williams in Grand Theft Auto IV.

Today Level 5 published another trailer featuring the peculiar stand-up comedy of the world of Ni No Kuni, reproducing the popular Japanese two-men Manzai style.

This time around the theme is a classic: a customer and a waiter at a restaurant. It's so well done and expressive that you'll probably find it funny even if you can't understand the Japanese dialogue, a testament of the quality of the animation by Studio Ghibli and of the voice acting by the popular Manzai pair formed by Yoshiyuki Hirai and Tetsuya Hanagiwara.

I'm actually hoping that Namco Bandai will manage to translate those skits with the same quality and find appropriate voice actors for the western version. In the meanwhile you can enjoy the trailer past the cut:
