Nintendo has announced that it will be hosting a Nintendo Direct focused around the upcoming Dragon Quest XI for the Nintendo 3DS.The presentation will be focused on the features that will be exclusive to the 3DS version of the title, including StreetPass.No other specific information about the Direct was given, but the broadcast will take place in two days, on June 21st, 2017, at 4:00 a.m. PDT (7:00 a.m. EDT), and is scheduled to last for only 14 minutes.The news come via Nintendo's Japanese Twitter account: 

At the beginning of the month, both the Nintendo 3DS, and PlayStation 4 versions of the game received two different gameplay videos, with the 3DS video showcasing the very first level of the game. Recently, during an event in Nagoya, Japan, Dragon Quest creator Yuri Horii announced that the PlayStation 4, and Nintendo 3DS versions of the game had gone gold, meaning the title is officially finished. At the same event, the title received some brand new gameplay, which showed off the menu, the crafting system, horse racing, and more.

While a Nintendo Switch version has been announced and is still being actively produced, developer Square Enix says that it cannot comment on it, due to "adult circumstances."

Dragon Quest XI is scheduled to be released in Japan on July 29th, 2017, and will be available for the PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo 3DS. A release date for the Nintendo Switch version of the game has not been announced. As of the time of this writing, it is unknown when or if the titled will be localized for any other country.
