Today Nvidia revealed its new Nvidia Shield streamer, and they followed up with a series of trailer boasting its abilities.

In particular, the one dedicated to the GeFoprce Now cloud gaming service boasts "4X Faster Gameplay" than next-gen consoles (Whatever a next-gen console is nowadays, I guess), by streaming 1080p games at 60 FPS.

"Instantly play on-demand PC games powered by supercharged NVIDIA Pascal GPUs in the cloud that drive 4X faster gameplay than “next-gen” game consoles. Log in for multiplayer gaming and online leaderboards anywhere there’s a SHIELD. The first month is even free for a limited time."

Of course the trailers don't exactly mention the downsides of cloud streaming compared to gaming on local hardware, but that's not exactly surprising.

The shield is available for pre-order in two versions, 16 GB for $199.99, and 500, GB for $299.99. Besides streaming games with GeForce Now, the Shield can also run dedicated Android games natively, and stream media in 4K HDR.
