The official Pokemon Twitter updated its status with an interesting new tweet regarding Sword and Shield. According to it Sonia, Professor Magnolia's granddaughter and assistant, will be setting up a live camera to conduct observation research in Glimwood Tangle. Glimwood Tangle is a forest found in the Galar region and it seems to hold some mysteries within it:

The tweet also seems to imply that because it's a livestream those who tune in can contribute to it in real-time and actually field questions, commentary, observations, etc. to Sonia as she conducts her research. I must admit, this sounds like a very intriguing idea and hopefully it fosters some really unique content.

The livestream with take place on Twitch on Friday, October 4th at 6am PDT. You can check out the video posted below and tune in to the stream:

In other recent news a new form for Farfetch'd, called Sirfetch'd, was revealed. There also seems to be a chance that auto-saving will be coming to the upcoming titles, judging from some telling footage in the Nintendo Direct trailer.

There are two other recent trailers for Pokemon Sword and Shield. The first showed off Team Yell, new Pokemon forms and evolutions, a new Pokemon, and new rivals. The second showcased more gameplay, new abilities, moves, and held items. There’s also a new video, narrated by Shigeru Ohmori, as he tours players around an unnamed town in in the game. While it seems to be a location from early on in the game, it is still quite robust and differentiates itself from previous towns with its location on the side of a hill.

Pokemon Sword and Shield will be released for Nintendo Switch on November 15th. Meanwhile check out a write-up from one of our DualShockers own, in which he claims this will be the series title to reignite his passion for the series. You can preorder Sword here and Shield here.
