Yesterday Sony Computer Entertainment officially announced the CUH-1200 series of the PS4, and today we learn that not only the console will have a different look thanks to the matte HDD bay cover, but it will also appear differently on store shelves with a brand new package.

The new packaging, that will be in Japanese stores on June 24th, was shown on Sony's local listings for both the Jet Black and the Glacier White consoles, and you can see it above and below.

Below you can also see the old packaging for the sake of comparison. Personally, I prefer the new one by quite a lot, as the design is more crisp and distinctive, but of course your mileage may vary.
