Today Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that it will now be increasing the value of PlayStation VR in a few different ways.

First off, a new bundle will be introduced that will include only the PlayStation VR unit and the PlayStation Camera. The bundle will cost $399, meaning you will essentially get the PlayStation Camera for no extra cost. This will also become the core product, meaning consumers will no longer be able to purchase just the unit itself.

In addition to that, it was also revealed that the bundle that includes the PlayStation VR unit, the PlayStation Camera, two PlayStation Move controllers, and the title VR Worlds, will once again be hitting store shelves, and that it will receive a $50 price reduction, bringing it down from $499 to $449.

Both of these bundles will be released on September 1st, 2017.

Lastly, if you've been waiting to get your hands on the Farpoint Aim Controller bundle, which includes the title Farpoint, as well as the Aim Controller, you'll now be able to grab it starting today.

Yesterday during GameStop Expo, Vice President of Marketing Asad Qizilbash said that Sony is "super-focused" on the PlayStation VR, so it's nice to see the house of PlayStation supporting the platform with new products and a reduced price.

PlayStation VR was originally released on October 16th, 2016.
