The official CD Projekt Red forum posted a new Q&A session with The Witcher 3’s lead quest designers Pawel Sasko and Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz:
Greetings, witchers and witcheresses,
It’s my great privilege and pleasure to present a special Q&A with CDPR Quest Designers Pawel Sasko and Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz!
Some time ago I had the opportunity to submit a list of questions to Mateusz and Pawel, and they very generously agreed to share some of their reflections and thoughtful insights into the creative process of designing quests for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, and the Hearts of Stone expansion.
Tremendous thanks to both Mateusz and Pawel for taking time out of their very busy schedules to respond to my questions! Also many thanks to @Marcin Momot for co-ordinating the exchange (putting up with my constant e-mails)! Special thanks to @gregski for his assistance, and for translating the Q&A into Polish – my compliments and respect, Greg! Polish Version.
Finally, great thanks and hearty congratulations to the entire team at CD Projekt RED, for all their imagination, dedication, and hard work in creating The Witcher III!
Without further ado, happy reading!
The interview itself is incredibly intriguing, as it covers how the writing and quest teams managed to colaborate together to create the quests for the game, the design process for each quest, how the series’ lore (the books and short stories) affected the actual game and tons more.
