New Screens from Catherine's Multiplayer Modes

There are two ways you can play with your friends in Atlus’ upcoming title Catherine, which are shown off a little bit in this new set of screens that were released today for the title.

First off, you have Babel mode, which is unlocked as you progress through the Golden Theater mode (single player story). Here you and your friend can switch off playing to compete for various goals. Reminds you of the old Super Mario Bros. days, eh? Hand the controller to your friend?

The second multiplayer mode is Colosseum, which allows you and a friend to go head-to-head, working your way up a tower like Vincent does in the main story. Here you can work to hamper your opponent’s progress up the tower by moving blocks and performing various other tasks.

Hit the break below to check out the nine new shots from these two modes and other parts of the game. Catherine releases for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Japan on February 17, 2011. No work on a Western release yet. Keep your fingers crossed!
