It's been a while since I have played a really good game in the Suikoden franchise. And by "a while", I mean probably since Suikoden III or so. Regardless of that, Konami has a new game in the franchise heading to the PSP, and today they showed off a bunch of new screens for it, showcasing the game's six-character, turn-based battles. (The game's title is Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki in Japan.)

You can form your own groups of six and place them on a grid to fight against the enemies. The characters can have any combination of eight jobs (or classes), which can become even more focused sub-classes by changing their equipment. Characters can also attack in groups, and the power of the attack will depend on the affinity the characters have with one another.
