Hudson Entertainment has released some new screenshots as well as the first chapter of the Lost in Shadows documentary for the Wii adventure title. The video features director Tsuchihashi, Design Chief Echigo, Program Chief Nakaoka and Sound Designer Bando as they discuss the “birth” of Lost in Shadows and the inspirations for the game.
Lost in Shadows is a puzzle-platformer that is coming to the Wii, where you will control the shadow of a young boy and climb a mysterious tower in an alternate world. Lost in Shadows is mainly played in the background of the game environment as you move around the world as the shadow boy who interacts with the shadows placed amongst the world. Joined by a winged sylph who can alter the direction of light sources in the foreground to create new shadowy pathways to previous areas.
This title is unlike anything that I have seen before, and honestly I’m a little upset that I don’t own a Wii because this would be one title that I want to get my hands on. Check out the first chapter of the Lost in Shadows documentary and screens after the break for this unique title that offers a combination of light and shadows.
