New Sonic Game Coming, Featuring...Old Sonic?

By Allen Park

April 8, 2011

Yesterday SEGA released a cryptic new trailer revealing some sort of new game featuring Sonic the Hedgehog. It doesn’t really show much, beyond Sonic racing across some track, and then being joined by what looks like the older, “retro” version of Sonic. What the hell does this mean? We have no idea. Hit the jump for the trailer.

The potential behind this sounds intriguing, but the fact that SEGA hasn’t made a fantastic Sonic game in, what, ten years is keeping me apprehensive about the entire project. We’ll see what this means later, I guess, but believe you me, my expectations are very very low.
