New Star Wars Game Cancelled Right After Beta Testing

May 23, 2014

The would-be Star Wars: Attack Squadrons was cancelled today following an announcement of their official Facebook page.

We want to thank all of the fans who participated in the closed beta of Star Wars: Attack Squadrons.

After much consideration, we have decided to cease development so that we can focus on other Star Wars game experiences.

We truly appreciate the time you spent engaging in the beta.

The Disney free-to-play game that was announced only last December was supposed to be a space combat simulation where players could participate in 16-man dogfights while flying customized ships.

EA’s Star Wars: Battlefront is still in development and has been set to be released next summer.
