New Star Wars: The Old Republic Dev Diary Pitches the Free to Play Option (Again) and Holiday Items

on December 21, 2012 1:10 PM

After the announcement of the Raise of the Hutt Cartel DLC expansion, BioWare is back to advertise its free to play option with a new dev diary video starring Producer Cory Butler.

The video focuses mostly on the Preferred Status granted to previous subscribers and anyone that buys anything from the Cartel Market, and specifies that Preferred Users are going to get six character slots instead of the previously allowed two.

It also shows off three items available on the Cartel Market to celebrate Life Day (Star Wars‘ version of Christmas), so if you want your land speeder to be decorated like ┬áChrstmas tree, now you can have it.
