Today Capcom released a new brief trailer of the upcoming Xbox 360 Kinect-enabled mecha simulator Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor, slated for release next year.

The brief video focuses on the interaction between Kinect and the traditional Xbox 360 controller, explaining (again, briefly) how you'll use the controller to move and fight, while Kinect will be used to control your movements inside the tank, pulling levers, looking around, and, if the final few seconds of the trailer are any indication, throwing out grenades that enemy soldiers tossed in the hatch.

One would wonder why the hatch wasn't locked to begin with, but anyway this definitely looks like a use for Kinect that, if well implemented and not too clunky, I can welcome. You can check the trailer past the cut.
