Today Nintendo announced that it will be producing a new bundle for its  Nintendo 2DS system.

The bundle is rather simple, as each one includes a Nintendo 2DS console, complete with a red and white finish, as well as a pre-installed copy of New Super Mario Bros. 2. Just like the base 2DS models, which received a price drop back in May, the bundle is set to cost $79.99, and will be available in stores on August 25th, 2017.

Interestingly, the bundle includes the original version of the Nintendo 2DS, and not the most recent revision, aptly titled the New Nintendo 2DS XL (LL in Japan). That version is more in line with the New Nintendo 3DS, as it includes a C-stick, ZL and ZR buttons, an NFC reader in order to interact with Amiibos, and a clam-shell design. This one offers a more basic experience.

You can check out a picture of the bundle at the end of the article.

Last August, Europe received two 2DS bundles; one that was themed around Yo-Kai Watch, which included a blue console, and one based around New Style Boutique 2, which included a pink and white system. A few months later, a Pokémon-themed 2DS hit the Japanese market in order to celebrate the release of Pokémon Sun and Moon, which featured a light-blue console, however a copy of the game was not included.
