If you had fun swinging around the Sword of Crota in Destiny, a livestream hosted by Bungie revealed something definitely interesting. One of the characters dancing at the end of the broadcast had a sword on his back.
Below you can see a capture taken directly from the livestream, and no matter the angle, it’s definitely a sword. Community Manager David “Deej” Dague actually hovered over it for a second in the vault, so you can also see its stats and the fact that it belongs to the “sword” category. You can use L2 to guard with it.
Considering that it’s shown in the vault, looks like this time we’ll be able to bring the blade home.
In addition to that, we also learned that vault space for weapons and armor will be drastically increased to 72 slots each, as you can see in the screen captures below. The General tab has not been enlarged, but with The Taken King emblems, shaders and ships will be accessible in “collections” via special terminals. Once you have acquired them, you won’t need to store them, but you can safely get rid of them and grab them again from the terminal whenever you like.
