What we know on the Takagi-san anime season 3, release date estimate

The new anime announcement was shared through the release announcement of Karakai Jouzu no (Moto) Takagi-san volume 12, the manga spinoff taking place in the future. With Nishikata and Takagi being married and raising their daughter. It states that both the Teasing Master Takagi-san TV anime season 3 and an anime movie will be released in 2022.

We don't know what the anime movie will be about yet, so keep in mind it could either be original content or adapt more of the Takagi-san manga as a direct sequel to Season 3. None of the cast and staff was confirmed yet, but Rie Takahashi will be reprising the lead role as Takagi and should keep singing for the series too.

Teasing Master Takagi-san series reaches 10 million copies

Moreover, the announcement reveals volume 16 of the original Takagi san manga will be released with Volume 12 of Moto, on September 10, 2021, in Japan. The series as a whole has over 10 million copies in circulation now, reaching a new milestone.

Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san started in 2012 in Japan and has been pretty popular since. It's not an exaggeration to say it started a new trend of "characters teasing someone else" and stuff like Please Don't Bully Me, Nagatoro-san probably wouldn't exist if not for Takagi-san.

The series' mangaka, Souichiro Yamamoto, who already published several manga, is still publishing different works simultaneously. While he's not drawing the Moto Takagi-san spinoff himself, he's still the one behind the plot. He's also behind the ninja comedy series Kunoichi Tsubaki no Mune no Uchi, which sadly isn't localized in USA yet.

Souichiro Yamamoto also regularly shares super cute artwork of his characters on Twitter so you should definitely give him a follow if you aren't yet. You can also reach me on Twitter @A_iyane07 to talk about Takagi-san or Tsubaki.
