If Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition isn’t enough to quench your Tales thirst, good news comes from the Tales Festival 2018 held in Japan today at the Yokohama Arena.

While nothing really new was shown, Bandai Namco showcased a super-brief teaser that included a simple sentence:

“Development is in progress for the latest game for Home Console of the Tales series”

That’s it. No images were shown, and no details were provided, probably indicating that Bandai Namco isn’t ready to share more. That being said, at least now we know that it’s coming.

I’m inclined to believe that this is a new mainline title for the series, as this kind of tease is normally not reserved for remasters and spinoffs, but keep in mind that this is just my speculation based on precedent (and on basically nothing else, because they didn’t show anything else).

It’ll be interesting to see if we’ll finally see an evolution on the tech front, in a series that has been pretty much stationary for a long time. If you want to read what we thought about the latest title, Tales of Berseria,  can check out our reviewyou.
