New Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Trailer Shows Off some Epic Tag Mechanics

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 finally hit japanese arcades last week, but there’s still no official word as of yet on a console or North American release. Therefore, doesn’t it seem a bit strange that a new trailer is being released? I definitely think this hints at something bigger.

This new trailer is filled with caramelized awesome and it shows off some very interesting looking mechanics for tag partners. They’ve added what looks like full on assist attacks ala MVC where your partner pops in and does a quick attack pumping up your damage and combo count before hopping back off screen.

Other mechanics are a little harder to describe, so you should definitely hit the break to check it out for yourself. Just about all Tekken games are localized and released globally so just bide your time for official release details. We’ll have you covered when they’re available.
