New Tomb Raider Pics Revealed, Crystal Dynamics Taking Title of Game VERY Literally

By Allen Park

December 31, 2010

Game Informer gratefully released a new set of hi-res screenshots for the upcoming Tomb Raider remake, and man, you guys think developer Crystal Dynamics was subtle enough with this game?  You have some pretty awesome looking tombs with skulls and human sacrifices everywhere, and a new, perpetually dirty Lara Croft presumably doing some sort of raiding; I only hope this isn’t all that this game is going to be.

Personally, I think it looks beautiful, but as someone whose never quite been captivated by the Tomb Raider franchise, I remain cautiously optimistic that this won’t simply be Uncharted with a palette swap.

You can take a look at the rest of the pictures here.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
