New Total War: Warhammer Trailer Brings Us Back to La Maisontaal Abbey

La Maisontaal is a name that will ring familiar to many veteran Warhammer fans, and a new trailer of Total War: Warhammer released today shows it as we never saw it before.

The old Abbey formerly inhabited by Taal worshippers, is location of a famous historical battle involving Heinrich Kemmler and Throt the Unclean, and it first appeared back in 1986, which incidentally is the year in which I first started playing Warhammer. Yes. I was eight years old.

In the new game by The Creative Assembly, the ancient abbey will be one of the battle maps that we’ll get to fight on, and it looks awesome. Check it out below.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
