Earlier today, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Guerilla Games released a new trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds, the expansion to this year's critically-acclaimed open world game.

This video showcases a new enemy type that Aloy will come across called the Scorcher. As you might have guessed from the name, this machine has the ability to breathe fire. Its use of these fire abilities serves as a good counter to the frigid environment that Aloy finds herself within in The Frozen Wilds.

In addition to showing off some of the attacks of the Scorcher in this new trailer, we also see members of the development team at Guerilla Games talking about the inspirations they had when creating the creature. The Scorcher's movement resembles that of a wolf while its cry contains a variety of different animal cries combined together to create a unique howl.

Earlier this week, The Frozen Wilds received another trailer during Sony's Paris Games Week presentation showing off the new location and Aloy in action. We also received a handful of sharp looking 4K screenshots that were captured on a PS4 Pro.

Per usual, you can find today's trailer at the bottom of the page for your own viewing pleasure. The Frozen Wilds is due out next Tuesday on November 7, exclusively for PS4. Don't forget that if you're a PS Plus member you can pre-order the expansion right now for the discounted price of $14.99 rather than the standard cost of $19.99 that it will be after launch.
