New Trials Evolution Trailer Showcases "Crazy Powerful" Mod Tool

February 4, 2012

Ubisoft’s Redlynx studio released a new trailer for upcoming Xbox Live title Trials Evolution, which demonstrates the power and versatility of its new mod tool. With it, creative fans can build new levels brimming with wild obstacles and the potential for heretofore unforeseen user-created mayhem.

The mod kit is not only built to design new race tracks — in the trailer, we see a pinball level, a gravity based rolling ball maze, and even a first person shooter arena. By the look of it, the new mod kit promises to rival LittleBigPlanet in terms of presenting ambitious fans with the opportunity to create some truly breathtaking levels. Check out the trailer after the break.

John Bates, Director of Marketing at Redlynx, calls it “One of the biggest, most ambitious Xbox Live games ever,” and if the trailer is any indication, there is a good chance he is right. There is no official release date for Trials Evolution as yet, but keep an eye out for it in Spring 2012.

Sto Austin is the man. Period. When not saving the world from the next generation of Metal Gears or throwing hadoukens at his detractors, chances are he's writing about someone else doing something similarly epic, possibly whilst smoking a cigar. He enjoys games with a strong emphasis on story, which typically fall into the RPG, Action/Adventure, or Horror genres, though he also has a soft spot for fighting games and has been known, when feeling saucy, to shred on some Guitar Hero or Rock Band. He currently divides his time between Florida and Maine, tromping up and down the East coast according to the whims of fate and fortune.
