The latest issue of GamePro Magazine has revealed some interesting, new, multiplayer details from Drake’s latest outing, Uncharted 3. Much of the details describe Naughty Dog’s attempt of revamping Uncharted 2‘s multiplayer with influences, fixes, and admitting past mistakes. The main detail that should make any PS3 fanboy happy is Naughty Dog’s hope that U3 will “be the go to game for PS3 multiplayer”. With Call of Duty dominating that category…Naughty Dog can only hope that want will come to fruition.
First off, Naughty Dog admits that Uncharted 2‘s online component could have been better but they didn’t necessarily have the time to work on it. Despite that fact the multiplayer was actually pretty good for something we weren’t expecting. Plus, who can blame them with the campaign they presented to us that won countless GOTY awards. With Uncharted 3 online Naughty Dog has listed titles like Red Dead Redemption and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood as influences. Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t those two titles have extraordinarily unique online gameplay? Combine that with the development team at Naughty Dog and…oh boy! Lasly, the Uncharted developer said, “One thing we learned from UC2 multiplayer was that damage/health should be the same or similar to single player.” Who else can’t wait for Naughty Dog to throw us more table scraps about Uncharted 3?
