The newest patch for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is live and adds an even higher level of difficulty to the game’s Survival mode. This new difficulty called Hardcore Mode ups the ante more than ever before.

In this new difficulty, players only have one chance to to make it through Survival’s fifty waves. That means if you and the rest of your team all die, its back to wave one. Reaching wave fifty is going to take determination, careful planning, and a lot of patience. You’ll want to make sure you have a solid group of people to play with if you want to make it to the end.

In addition, a few new features have been added to the game’s multiplayer in this most recent update. Most notable is the return of Classic Mode to the Beta Test Playlist. Classic mode offers no in-game store, Mysticals, or Sidekicks and instead focuses purely on the game’s core combat. It’s a mode the Naughty Dog says players have been asking to return for quite some time.

It’s also worth noting that the newest Ranked season has now begun. New gear, weapon skins, and other items have been added as rewards so if you’ve strayed away from Uncharted 4 for some time, be sure to jump back in and earn all of these goodies for yourself.

There are many other new updates and bug fixes in patch 1.20.055. If you want to check them out yourself be sure to head over to the official Uncharted website here for a deeper look at this update.
