While a strategic RPG like Valkyria Chronicles definitely forces you to use certain classes for certain reasons throughout the course of the game, much of it is based on the play-style of the gamer, as well.  I know I tended to lean more toward using certain classes in excess and some other classes possibly not enough.  In the spirit of giving those of us who are like that a lesson in versatility, some new DLC for Valkyria Chronicles was announced (yes, it is nearly a year and a half after the game came out, why do you ask?).  This DLC has been out in Japan since June, but we'll finally be able to get our hands on it next week.

The DLC includes six new missions, and, like I alluded to above, each mission focuses on the use of a different class.  There's one mission each that tasks you with showing Edy how well you can handle the lancer, sniper, tank, shocktrooper, scout and engineer.  The new DLC sounds awesome, and once I get around to playing the game again, I'll be all over this.  Is this an appropriate time to bug Sega about patching in trophy support for this title?  If not, I did anyway.  It's my news post, I can do what I want, right?

Take a look at the few screen shots from the DLC below and, if you still haven't played this title, why the hell not?  It's one of the best PS3 games out there!
