New Wildman Video Update Explains the Design Process of Mixing an Action RPG With a RTS

One of the things that many still don’t understand of Wildman is how exactly the game mixes the Action RPG and the RTS genres into cohesive gameplay. To address that Gas Powered Games Creative Director Chris Taylor released a neat video update in which he basically goes over the design process of the game.

He explains that the key is technology, that can be acquired or stolen from enemies, and allows you to build structures that will produce units that will fight with your Wildman as he advances through the world.

Of course Chris Taylor explains it a lot better than I did (and with drawings), so I’ll let him do his job in the video that you can enjoy below. At the moment, with twenty days to go on the clock, the project received $325,458 in pledges. The $1,100,000 target is still in reach, but it’ll take a good effort to get there.
