New Wolfenstein Youngblood Update Lessens Boss Fight Difficulty and More
In a new update for Wolfenstein Youngblood, boss battles will be less difficult to defeat among other changes.
Having been out since July, Bethesda has announced that a new update will be coming to Wolfenstein Youngblood. For PC players, the patch is available now but it’s unclear when the patch will hit console players.
Among the main changes coming to the game is that boss battles won’t be as difficult as before. Additionally, if the player runs out of shared lives, 50% of ammo will be added back to your base weapons. Checkpoints will also be added to Tower missions and Tower Guardian fights. That being said, the checkpoints won’t appear once you’ve finished the main missions in those areas.
Other changes coming with the patch includes special weapons being added to certain areas, Tower gate Guardians health being reduced, increased damage with the shotgun, auto pistol, and SMG, and making enemies not feel like bullet sponges. With these changes, the game should be a little easier and accessible for players that might have been turned off by the game’s difficulty.
Wolfenstein Youngblood launched in late July with mixed reviews but it debuted at number two during its launch week in the UK. Additionally, Bethesda released Wolfenstein Cyberpilot, a VR Wolfenstein game that wasn’t as well received either. Despite some underwealming reviews, the recent Wolfenstein series continues to have great gameplay and an interesting story about killing Nazis. After completing Wolfenstein Youngblood, I’m interested in where Machine Games will take the franchise going forward.
Wolfenstein Youngblood is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
