Summing up an entire season of fantastic games in the space of a 60-second advertisement is no easy feat, however, the new commercial for Xbox attempts to do so by cleverly comparing the intensity of the experience to that of skydiving.

The latest commercial for the iconic gaming brand opens with a woman getting geared up for a skydiving session in the cargo hold of a plane. As she straps on her goggles and fixes her helmet we see flashes of a character from the upcoming Bethesda title Fallout 76 preparing for the outside world. The lady leaps from the plane and as she plummets earthwards we see shots of Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft diving from a cliff, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey’s Alexios bounding into battle, and a number of Fortnite characters ejecting from the battle bus.

As she approaches her landing point on the city streets below we see people emerging from every direction to converge in a large town square where imagery from Xbox games is being displayed on the sides of buildings. Along the way a driver is outpassed by Forza: Horizon 4 cars while Halo’s Master Chief, Xbox’s most iconic character, cheekily takes the subway. The final shot is a bird’s eye view of the crowd as they stand side by side to create a rendition of the classic Xbox logo.

All three consoles across the Xbox One family are available to purchase including the original Xbox One, the 4K supporting Xbox One S, and the most powerful console on the planet; the Xbox One X.
