Today Microsoft followed up on the announcement of the expansion of Xbox Game Pass to include new first-party games from its own studios with a new trailer.

The video showcases the three games that have been already announced as part of Microsoft's initiative, which are Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves, and State of Decay 2.

While no other games are showcased in the trailer (besides covers of older games on a static screen) we already know that this will continue with all the new Xbox exclusives that will be released by Microsoft Game Studios down the line, and this includes new chapters of series like Halo, Gears of Wars, and Forza.

This is even more promising considering that Xbox Division head Phil Spencer hinted at the possibility of an increase of investment by the company in the creation of more first-party games. This is probably long overdue, but the timing is certainly good.

In the meanwhile, we have to wait and see just how far this will go. If you want to read my full take, you can check out the article that I just published a few minutes ago.

If you can't care the less about my take, or if you find me unbearably boring, you can just watch the trailer below.

At the moment only Sea of Thieves has a firm release date on March 20th, with a closed beta starting tomorrow. Crackdown 3 is coming sometime this spring, and State of Decay 2 will launch this year.
