New Xbox One May Update Preview Fixes Party Voice Commands, Prepares for Wireless Display

on April 23, 2015 2:52 PM

Today a new Xbox One update has been launched for preview members, fixing issues (prominently, the inability to use voice commands while on the initial screen of the Party app) and preparing for the previously announced Miracast support. That hasn’t been enabled yet.

Here are the full patch notes, directly from the Preview forums.

OS version released: xb_rel_1505.150419-2200
Available: 6:00PM PT 4/22 (2AM GMT 23/4)

  • US/CA USB TV Tuner Channel Audio issues. Audio issues previously reported by users should now be resolved.
  • Party app voice commands (initial screen only). The issue preventing Party app voice commands to be used when initially launched has been resolved.
  • Change to prepare for the Wireless Display app, coming to Preview soon.

Please report any issues you discover via the Report a problem feature or in the forums!

As usual, you can download and install the new version if you’re a preview member, by selecting Settings > System and selecting System Update.

If you’re not a preview member, but would like to help testing the new features, feel free to ask for an invite in the comments, including your gamertag. Other members might throw one your way.
