New Yakuza Game Will Be on Both PS4 and PS3; Won't Be A Spin-off

In the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu there’s an interview with Yakuza series producers Toshihiro Nagoshi and Masayoshi Yokoyama. The duo talks about the next Yakuza (Ryu ga Gotoku) game in development, and they reveal the platforms.

The game will still come to both PS3 and PS4 like Yakuza Ishin, but this time it won’t be a spin-off, even if they declined to comment on whether it’ll be called Ryu ga Gotoku 6 or not.

We’ll stand by for further information soon, but for now looks like Sega isn’t ready to move on from the PS3. Hopefully it won’t hold back the PS4 version too much.

RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
