The New York Video Game Awards 2018 Nominations Revealed; Red Dead Redemption 2 Leads with Six Nods

Ahead of the ceremony later this month, the New York Video Game Critics Circle has revealed its list of nominees for its 2018 awards.

With 2018 having come and gone, numerous critics groups and award bodies are taking the new year to reflect and recognize on some of the biggest achievements in gaming for the year, with the New York Video Game Critics Circle to be among the first with their upcoming awards.

The New York Video Game Critics Circle has revealed its full list of nominees for its upcoming New York Video Game Awards later this month, with many of the year’s most acclaimed titles making their way onto the top honors, such as Monster Hunter: WorldCelesteAssassin’s Creed Odyssey, and more. In terms of overall nominations, Red Dead Redemption 2 took the highest overall nomination total with six award nominations, while God of War is in a close second at five nominations.

Alongside the full list of nominations across its numerous categories, as previously announced, Jade Raymond will be presented with the Andrew Yoon Legend Award to recognize her numerous contributions to the gaming industry throughout her career.

The New York Video Game Awards 2018 will take place on January 22, 2019 at 7:30pm, with the ceremony to be streamed through Twitch. You can check out the full nominations list below:
