Newly Announced PS Vita Exclusive JRPG Caligula by Persona Writer Gets First Screenshots on Famitsu

Today’s issue of the Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu had an extensive article introducing a new PS Vita exclusive JRPG by FuRyu and Aquria, Caligula.

The game is set in a virtual reality world named Mobius, and its protagonists are trapped inside it, trying to return to the real world. They form a club for that purpose, but the intentions of some might be different from those of the group.

Interestingly, the world of Mobius is focused around a vocaloid software that gathers those who are oppressed in the real world. Regardless of their ages, all those who enter Mobius are represented as high school students, and live an ideal high school life.

Most notably, Director Takuya Yamanaka will work with Persona and Persona 2 Scenario Writer Tadashi Satomi on this game, that will release in Japan on June 23rd.

As usual, remember that we’re looking at magazine scans, so they’re not as good in quality as direct feed screenshots.
