For several years, fans of the BioShock series waited with baited breath for the beloved 2007 classic to come to the big-screen, under the guidance of Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski - however, like Rapture itself, the movie was only a dream that never came to fruition, though new images show what the movie could have looked like.

In a series of concept art released by artist Kasra Farahani on his personal resume site, a collection of illustrations from the cancelled BioShock movie show a pretty stunning glimpse of what the film would have looked like, with numerous sparse (and detailed) concept art stills showing a beautiful, but haunting, Rapture and its many iconic sights from BioShock.
