I know this post sounds repetitive but their are some interesting numbers to report on. The big one is that Nintendo has crossed 35 million sales quicker than any other console in U.S. history. February was a big month for Wii with 454,000 sold which shows they do not need many strong titles to move their consoles. With that being said, their available titles are moving quite well, especially New Super Mario Bros. Wii which has sold over 8 million sales. Donkey Kong Country Returns, one of the best Wii games available last year, just passed 2 million sales in February.
Nintendo stated during their GDC talk that the Wii still has a long life to live. I don’t want to throw my opinion around much in this news piece but I’m ready for Nintendo to bombard us with new content that will bring back my excitement for the Wii. I’m sure Nintendo has a few announcements they are holding back for E3.
