This past weekend, players all over the globe got to participate in March's Pokemon GO Community Day. For the first time ever, Shiny Fletchling was introduced to the world, alongside a range of bonuses and a Fletchinder that could learn Incinerate. Fletchling joined the likes of Roselia and Machop who have both had their own Community Days this year. Looking ahead to April now, here are five predictions for the Next Pokemon GO Community Day.

Phanpy

Phanpy, and its evolution Donphan, are one of the few generation two Pokemon who have yet to have their shiny forms released. While Phanpy did have a Spotlight Hour back in January, that and Donphan are two of Johto's most popular Pokemon. Giving them their shiny forms, plus a special move that could make Donphan relevant would be a welcome move.

Cranidos/Shieldon

This is a little more unlikely, and slightly out of the left-field but it would be very welcome to have a super double community day to make these two brutes even more powerful. Both of these Pokemon are relatively rare in the wild and have really solid shiny forms. They would definitely be welcome in a format similar to the Magmar/Electabuzz Community Day's of a time gone by.

Timburr

Although Timburr's shiny form has already been released, the Pokemon has been exclusive to raids. It is already a strong Pokemon in terms of the meta but giving it a Community Day move plus allowing players to earn more candies would certainly mix things up.

Axew

I may be asking a lot here, but Axew would garner A LOT of excitement from the POGO community. The Dragon-type Pokemon has been almost as rare as Unown for many players and just having it in their 'dex would be a welcome reprieve. Having an Axew Community Day, however, would show Niantic means business this year. It would feel like a Community Day of old. A Community Day where Meta-relevant Pokemon were thrust into the limelight and excitement was rife around the world. What better time to start that up again than a couple of months before the game's fifth anniversary.

Tyrunt/Amaura

Another popular pick for the next Community Day would see the release of Tyrunt and Amaura. Two popular dinosaur-like Pokemon with solid designs and even better shiny forms. Again, it would generate a lot of excitement having these two released during a special weekend next month, however, Adventure week could be more of a likely destination.
