In a recent interview with Vandal, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino revealed an interesting tidbit of information about upcoming PS4 exclusive Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, as well as commented about what Level-5’s plans are with the Nintendo Switch.

First, the interesing new information: the RPG’s new kingdom creation system, which was revealed when Hino was asked about if the sequel would have new features:

“There will be many new features. From the fact alone that we moved from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4, it will not be a simple RPG, and will introduce a new system focused on creating a kingdom. So yes, there will be many differences.”

Further details about what exactly this kingdom creating system is, were not revealed.

The other interesting tidbit to leak out is the developer’s plans in regards to the Nintendo Switch. When asked about whether or not Level-5 plans to develop games for the new platform, Hino said the following:

“We plan to make games for Nintendo Switch, but I think it’s very important to find out the best way to get the most out of the console. For that reason, we won’t have any titles at launch, but we’ll work with it as soon as we figure out how to take advantage of it.”

Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is set to release exclusively for the PS4. A release date, nor release window, has been provided.
