The Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remaster is almost upon us. Level-5's classic comes out this Friday and the team has put together an excellent launch trailer to build excitement. It, of course, features the wonderful Mr. Drippy, along with many of the other great characters from the Ni No Kuni-verse. Give it a watch below.

The first Ni No Kuni came out in Japan back in 2011 (2013 for everyone else). At the time, the game was a PS3 exclusive, so many (myself included) could only ever experience the game through Let's Plays on Youtube. Wrath of the White Witch was very well received at the time, and it's almost a shame that it's taken so long to get the game on other platforms. After all, there aren't many better combinations than the Studio Ghibli art team and the RPG gameplay of Level-5.

Fortunately, it doesn't look like anything has been lost in the remaster. That Ghibli art direction and animation are still world-class. It's unclear whether or not the gameplay can stand the test of time, but I'm confident in Level-5. I've yet to play a game of theirs that I didn't like, and Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom was one of my favorite games of last year. I know the original game plays differently from its sequel, but I still think I'll have a good time playing this one.

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered comes to Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS4 on September 20.
