The Rabbids of Rayman's Raving Rabbids game proved plenty popular on their own with their multiple games, but seem to be just as popular in TV-form for kids with their Nickelodeon-produced television series confirmed for a second season.

Ubisoft announced that Rabbids Invasion, the animated television series based on the popular Rabbids franchise, has officially been renewed for a second season based on popularity and ratings for next year. After being announced earlier this year and debuting with its first season this past August, Rabbids Invasion will officially be returning next year in 26 half-hour blocks, with three episodes in each.

In an update on Ubisoft's blog, Nickelodeon's Russell Hicks (President of Content Development and Production) commented on the renewal of Rabbids Invasion:

“Our partnership with Ubisoft’s one-of-a-kind creatures has generated much success and laughter over this past year. Bringing them to Nickelodeon proved to resonate with our audience, and we look forward to continuing the wild and zany adventures for a second season,”

In response, Ubisoft's Jean-Julien Baronnet (CEO, Ubisoft Motion Pictures) mentioned:

“Partnering with Nickelodeon has been an excellent opportunity for Ubisoft Motion Pictures to share and expand the Rabbids brand to a television audience. Securing the second season of Rabbids Invasion validates its strength and potential and we know the show will continue to entertain and delight viewers with each new episode.”

Rabbids Invasion is set to return for its second season in mid-2014, with episodes also to be available on digital platforms like iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, PlayStation Store, and others.
