Messhof Games announced earlier this year that Nidhogg 2 would be making its way to Nintendo Switch by the end of 2018, but talk about this port of the fighting game eventually fell rather silent. Now, that silence has been broken and we finally know when Nidhogg 2 will be hitting Nintendo's console and handheld hybrid.

It was announced this morning by Messhof Games that Nidhogg 2 will be arriving on Switch in a little over two weeks on November 22. Like its PS4, Xbox One, and PC counterparts, the Switch version will retail for $14.99.

As someone who has been playing Nidhogg 2 since it released on the PS4, I really think that the Switch is probably the best platform for this game. Being able to play on-the-go with friends by each using one Joy-Con is extremely convenient. More so than a lot of other games, Nidhogg 2 seems to perfectly take advantage of the Switch's dual-purpose functionality. I might have to pick it up again myself on Switch just because of how natural of a fit it is for the platform.

There's also a new trailer for Nidhogg 2 attached below if you'd like to familiarize yourself with the game a bit more. For a more opinionated read, be sure to check out our own review of Nidhogg 2 as well.
