NieR: Automata Character Designer Yuya Nagai has been sharing artwork of the characters he designed for the game over the past months, and he just posted another beautiful design of the YoRHa commander, which is 2B and 9S’ direct superior.

Nagai-san is a member of Studio CyDesignation (that also includes NieR: Automata‘s main Character Designer Akihiko Yoshida), and is the one who designed the Commander to begin with, so the artwork is quite relevant, but interestingly this isn’t something he did for work. Like the designs he shared in the past, it’s basically fan art of his own character drawn in his own free time.

If you want to see more of Nagai-san’s artwork, he shared another design of the Commander and one of Adam and Eve, on top of the Operator and the friendly machine life form Pascal.

The game will release in Japan for PS4 on February 23rd, in North America on March 7th, and in Europe on March 10th, 2017. A PC version is also scheduled to come this year, but no release window has been announced for that one.

In the meanwhile, you can enjoy the full artwork here.
