Square Enix and Platinum Games' NieR: Automata was one of last year's most well-received games by both fans and critics, but it seems that it didn't do too shabby at market, either. As revealed today by the official NieR: Automata Twitter account, Yoko Taro's action RPG has now surpassed 3.5 million copies sold. This total includes all versions of the game in addition to both physical and digital copies making up this number. While in comparison to some other large releases this total might not seem like much, for a game that serves a more niche audience, it is quite impressive. If a recent listing on the ESRB's website is to be believed, the sales of NieR: Automata might continue to go up in the future, too. A new version of the game titled NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition was recently found on the rating board's website just a few weeks back. While Square Enix hasn't made an official announcement since that time, the title's announcement still seems likely to occur in the future. As of now, you can still pick up NieR: Automata for yourself on PS4, Xbox One, or PC. The game is currently marked down in price over on Amazon if you're interested.
