Today, Square Enix released a new trailer for its upcoming RPG NieR: Automata reconfirming the game is releasing in the west on March 7, 2017 for the PS4 (an announcement made during PlayStation Experience 2016).

Developed in collaboration with PlatinumGames, NieR: Automata is an action role-playing game that centers around the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2, and their ferocious battle to reclaim a post-apocalyptic world abandoned by mankind and overrun by powerful weapons known as machine lifeforms

Additionally, as we reported earlier, a demo for the game is coming "soon" to the PlayStation Network, it will obviously be free.

Also previously reported was the reveal of the game's "Black Box Edition" (a collector's edition) and the game's Day One Edition. You can check both out below:

NieR: Automata will release exclusively on PS4 March 7, 2017 in North America, in Japan on February 27th, and in Europe on March 10th. The PC release date is currently just "2017."

The “Black Box Edition” is available for pre-order exclusively through the Square Enix Online Store for $189.99 USD. The Day One Edition is available for pre-order at all participating retailers. There is no word if such additions will ever come for the PC version of the game.
