Today, publisher Square Enix and developer PlatinumGames’ action RPG NieR: Automata launches onto the PS4 in North America. And to celebrate, the pair has released a new launch trailer.

Here’s a brief overview of the game via its PlayStation Store listing:

Humanity has been driven from the Earth by mechanical beings from another world. In a final effort to take back the planet, the human resistance sends a force of android soldiers to destroy the invaders. Now, a war between machines and androids rages on… A war that could soon unveil a long-forgotten truth of the world.

NieR: Automata™ is a fresh take on the action role-playing game (RPG) genre that gracefully blends mesmerizing action with a captivating story.

To accompany the game’s launch, Square Enix has also released two free PS4 themes, which released in Japan last month, on the North American PlayStation Store. You can check both out here and here.

NieR: Automata costs $59.99 USD, and is a hefty 45.4GB download. If you’re in Europe, you can anticipate the game’s launch on March 10th, and if you’re on PC you can look forward to getting your hands on the game on March 17th.

Below, you can check out the new trailer. Additionally, you can check out our review of the game, where we scored it a 9 out of 10.
