Square Enix is celebrating the first anniversary of the launch of the critically acclaimed action JRPG NieR: Automata, and today they published a video message from director Yoko Taro.

If you have seen this kind of clip before, you probably know what to expect, but besides the absolutely hilarious Yokotaroness, we also learn that Square Enix plans to organize dedicated fan event in North America and Europe.

We also learn that the game is currently 50% off on Steam and on the PlayStation Store, so if you have lived under a rock and missed one of the best JRPGs of the past decade, you now have a red carpet waiting for you. The discount will last until March 20th on the PlayStation Store, and until March 14th on Stam.

You can check out the message below. If you are unfamiliar with the game, you can also read our review.

NieR: Automata is currently available worldwide for PS4 and PC via Steam.
