Although Nier Automata received its first update on PC over two years after launch, it seems the developers behind Nier Replicant are not that lazy. The latest Nier Replicant update is now available for Steam players.

The Nier series was officially born back in 2010 as a spin-off to the Drakengard franchise. The game was well-received by fans back then, but it took Square Enix eight years to publish a sequel to the original game. That being said, Nier Automata turned into a great success for Platinum Games and the series.

The incredible performance of Nier Automata convinced Square Enix to publish a remake of the original Nier as well, which is now known as Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139. The game has recently received an update on PC, that fixes a number of bugs while wiping out some serious issues like freezing and zero-framerate experience.

Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139 Update 1.03 Patch Notes

The bullet list below doesn't represent the official patch notes of the update as Square Enix has not shared anything yet. However, this is an overall hint that which parts of the game will be improved after installing the new update on PC.

  • Framerate/display issues
  • Optimization to Geforce Experience
  • Game freezing
  • Other minor bugs

As mentioned above, the game will provide optimized and smooth gameplay for players who use GeForce Experience as their main platform. This just falls in line with the PC version as GeForce Experience is a cloud platform that streams games from high-end PCs.

Probably it would be much better if Square Enix would share more details around the fixed bugs. Anyway, if you still find serious bugs after the new update in the game, make sure to report them to the support team behind Nier Replicant.

Nier Replicant is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
